On June 12, Hunt celebrates the inauguration of the PERU LNG newly constructed second Truck Loading Facility for the dispatch of liquefied natural gas. This system allows the distribution of natural gas through trucks to 10 regions in the north and south of the country.

The existing PERU LNG facility has a daily supply capacity of 18 trucks per day and a weekly supply capacity of 126 trucks per week. The construction of the second facility doubles the supply capacity, reaching up to 36 trucks per day.

“At PERU LNG we reaffirm our commitment to the development of Peru, making a new investment to have an infrastructure that will allow us to continue contributing to the massification of natural gas,” said Jaime Risco, General Manager of PERU LNG. “This facility is essential to continue guaranteeing a reliable supply to all the regions that currently receive it, and to expand to others.”

Natural gas is essential for the Peruvian household economy, representing up to 25 percent in monthly savings, but it also is a cleaner, more environmentally sustainable alternative. PERU LNG continues to position itself as a key player in the energy transition of the country, enabling distribution to places that are difficult to access, which helps significantly with the sustainable development of Peru.
